Fullstack & DevOps at iPaper

I worked primarily as a DevOps/SRE Engineer with AWS and Kubernetes, as I was the person in charge of setting up and managing our EKS cluster and Github Actions Deployment pipeline for the new product iPaper Horizon. I was also tasked with helping the Frontend and Backend teams develop code.

Responsibilities:

• Design cloud infrastructure using AWS and Kubernetes
• Set up infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to deploy microservices
• Load-test and validate infrastructure
• Develop code for Frontend and Backend when needed

Achievements:

• Set up EKS cluster including AWS Load Balancer, IAM authentication, AWS Lambda and API gateway
• Bring the app deployment time down from 15min to around 4min including build, deployment and tests
• Train new-hires and current staff in using Kubernetes
• Implemented cost-saving methods for the cloud setup
• Develop custom JavaScript Intersection Observer to track scroll position position on embedded elements

API developer at Salling Group

FEB 2021 - FEB 2023

I was part of the API Management team maintaining our Azure Kubernetes infrastructure and maintaining our Developer Portal.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Azure infrastructure and services
• Develop new APIs for internal and external systems
• Coordinate with other internal development teams to create or mock services/APIs they needed

Achievements:

• Developed a new user-friendly API for fetching product data from an outdated in-store (Grocery stores) inventory management systems
• Run security checks on APIs using the OWASP guidelines
• Improve cooperation with other internal teams, since I had previously been on those teams and had direct contact to them

Backend Developer at Salling Group

I moved to the backend to get experience in a different environment, I worked with Java Spring-boot and Openshift.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Java APIs for the new BilkaNext project (bilka.dk and foetex.dk)
• Maintain old Bilka and Foetex websites until launch

Achievements:

• Maintained the old Hybris (later SAP Commerce Cloud) code and added new features according to EU alcohol and tobacco laws
• Developed and became responsible for the task scheduler API, which ran regular tasks and cronjobs
• Developed parts of the Payment API and Twilio integration

Frontend Developer at Salling Group

I work on Bilka.dk and BilkaToGo.dk as a Frontend Developer using VueJS and Netlify. I was also a project-lead for scocykler.dk.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain old Bilka and Foetex website in Hybris (later SAP Commerce Cloud)
• Develop new websites for Bilka.dk, Foetex.dk, Bilkatogo.dk, scocykler.dk

Achievements:

• Added many features to the various projects including OpenStreetMap integration, iPaper leaflet and general components
• Lead the development of the new website for scocykler.dk

I attended CTF-aarhus, a capture-the-flag event sponsored by Aarhus University. It was a 24-hour competition with plenty of challenges in various categories, web, Crypto, Reversing and more.
